Hootsuite Review

The enterprise-grade scheduler — priced and built for teams, not solo accounts.

Editorial verdict

Larger organisations and enterprise marketing teams that need approval chains and analytics across many stakeholders — not a small agency roster.

Not the pick for the local-service-agency work this site's marketing coverage is mostly framed around — Buffer or Zoho Social do that job for less. Hootsuite makes sense once the buyer is a genuinely large organisation with its own approval chain, which is a different customer than most of what's covered here.

Overview

Hootsuite is the oldest name in social scheduling and it's priced like it: the entry Standard tier already runs above Buffer's or Zoho Social's mid tiers, and the jump to Professional for unlimited social accounts is steep. What that price buys is genuine enterprise depth — trend forecasting, team approval workflows, and analytics built for organisations managing many brands and stakeholders, not a solo operator or a small agency roster.

Best for

Larger organisations and enterprise marketing teams that need approval chains and analytics across many stakeholders — not a small agency roster.

Not for

Agencies running a handful of local-service clients — the entry price alone is more than Buffer or Zoho Social charge for meaningfully more accounts.
