Mangools Alternatives
Explore alternatives to Mangools by what you gain, what you give up, and the work you need to do.
What is the best Mangools alternative?
It depends on why you are leaving. Moz Pro is our first alternative to consider for teams who report on Domain Authority to clients or stakeholders, and beginners who want a gentler on-ramp. Also worth a look: SE Ranking, Semrush, Ranktracker, Morningscore.
Reasons to switch
- Rank tracking is capped at 200 to 1,500 keywords depending on the plan
- Ranks update weekly on Basic and Premium
- The Basic plan has no extra seats available
Who should stay put: Freelancers and small teams who want keyword research and rank tracking for a modest keyword set without a four-figure software budget.

Moz Pro is the longest-established of the mainstream platforms and still the home of Domain Authority, the metric half the industry quotes. The toolkit is coherent and approachable, but the index and feature velocity have both fallen behind Ahrefs and Semrush over the last several years.
- Switch to it if
- Teams who report on Domain Authority to clients or stakeholders, and beginners who want a gentler on-ramp.
- What you give up
- Link index materially smaller than Ahrefs and Semrush; Feature development has been slow. Entry price $49/month, $11.30 higher than Mangools.

SE Ranking combines rank tracking, research, site audits and reporting. Core costs $129/month on monthly billing, or $103.20/month billed annually ($1,238.40/year). Compare the included projects, tracked keywords and reporting needs against other tools at the same billing frequency; the entry price alone does not establish better value. The data is thinner in smaller markets and the link index is well behind Ahrefs.
- Switch to it if
- Agencies and freelancers who need credible client reporting without a four-figure monthly software bill.
- What you give up
- Backlink index is clearly behind Ahrefs and Semrush; Keyword data thins out in smaller markets. Entry price $129/month, $91.30 higher than Mangools.

Semrush is the widest toolkit in mainstream SEO software: keyword research, rank tracking, site audit, backlink analysis, PPC research and social scheduling in one subscription. Breadth is the pitch and also the catch — most teams use a fraction of it while paying for all of it. Its keyword database is strong in the US and large European markets, thinner elsewhere.
- Switch to it if
- Teams who need SEO, PPC and competitor research from one subscription and will genuinely use more than the SEO toolkit.
- What you give up
- Limits are per-user and seats are expensive to add; Backlink index is respectable but not the largest. Entry price $139/month, $101.30 higher than Mangools.

Ranktracker sells four plans (Launch, Growth, Scale and Authority) that track 500 to 5,000 keywords daily, and every plan includes its Keyword Finder, SERP Analyzer, backlink checker and monitor, website audit and reports, with unlimited projects, reports and users. Monthly billing runs from $39 to $299 a month, and annual billing takes 20% off. It also lists access to a link marketplace, which is outside what this profile covers. This profile is based on Ranktracker's own pricing and affiliate pages; we have not used the product ourselves.
- Switch to it if
- Freelancers and small agencies who want rank tracking plus basic research and audit tools in one low-priced subscription, with unlimited users and projects.
- What you give up
- The top plan covers 5,000 daily-tracked keywords; more is bought as add-ons; The pricing page lists API access, MCP server access, an AI Overviews tracker, Search Console integration and a Looker Studio connector under "Add-ons Available", so check which are included at your plan. Entry price $39/month, $1.30 higher than Mangools.

Prices run from $69 to $299 a month. It says its data comes from several partners and that its database is smaller than Ahrefs or Semrush, positioning itself on simplicity. This profile is based on Morningscore's own pricing and affiliate pages; we have not used the product ourselves.
- Switch to it if
- Small businesses and in-house marketers who want a single, easier SEO suite with daily rank tracking and AI-search tracking, and who do not need the largest link index.
